This is the greatest club I have ever swung.

There is one important difference between the FT-IQ and the FT-IQ Tour. The Tour's face is ½ degree open and the standard is 1 degree closed so make sure you buy the right one for your game. I bought the non-tour version with an 11 degree loft (no 10.5) and I was amazed. I could grip it and rip it and it was incredibly long and straight off the tee. I used to have a slice which I have managed to control it enough to turn into a Power Fade but no more. The ball flies straight as an arrow. It is designed to still produce good shoots even it you don't hit it dead center in the club face. Even my misses didn't miss and I have shot some of my lowest rounds ever. Lastly with the accrucacy of this driver I can comfortably play Pro V1 and Pro V1x's without losing so many balls that I go bankrupt. This only adds to the explosive power and distance.

I was skeptical at first and it took a lot to plunk down $500.00 for it but I have no regrets whatsoever.

Great club. Although I hit the ball a fair distance, I went with the 11 degree loft with the hope that I would be able to find the fairway more often. I have found the club to be extremely stable on hits all around the face (my hits are all in the center, but that is what my friends say). The club is also long. My last driver was a Ping G10 (9 degree), which was also a nice club. I feel the FT-iQ is as long or maybe a little longer than the Ping and much more forgiving. I was a little worried that the 1 degree closed face would cause me to hook the ball more than I like (my death shot). The only hooks I have hit have been very poor swings on my part (I mean my friend's parts), any half-way decent swing is rewarded. Buy this club but do not overspend on it in this economy.

Burner Steel 3 Wood 2007

I have owned the 3,5, and 7 woods and the 3 wood is the only one I kept. The Burner St wood is large in head size, and provides assurance for mid to high handicappers. Carpenter steel face has excellent feel at impact. The shaft is 50 grams light to help out the slower swinger, but not good for the high swing speeds. Note there is a built in draw bias, therefore hooks can occur for some players. I found the 5 and 7 woods too large and too light. Not very playable from all turf conditions. But the 3 wood fits my game. For better players, I recommend the TP version. The TP version is smaller sized, neutral biased, and has a heavier shaft.

This club did not disappoint. I already had the 2007 Burner driver, 3 wood and the 5 wood. I never owned a 7 wood before but as I hoped it is easier for me to hit than a 4 iron.

I recently added this taylor fairway wood, along with the TaylorMade Men's Burner 460 Ti Driver. Very happy with both clubs. I've added about 15 yards, have better club speed, and it has proven to have better control of keeping it straight, with added height to my shots.

I bought these clubs as my game got better. I had a set of Taylor Made RAC OS 2. I felt if I could consistently hit the sweet spot on those, I needed a set to be able to work the ball and control distance better. The Taylor Made's seemed to balloon on me some times. These really have a good ball flight, and the long irons are easy to get up in the air. The short irons are kind of clunky, but just take some getting used to. They have more of a click at impact opposed to a thud that super-game improvement irons seem to provide. I would buy these if you are a mid-handicap and are looking for an affordable set of irons that will help everyone at any level.
